Advanced Nurse Practitionersbp_at_home

Our Advanced Nurse Practitioner Karen Taylor runs her own surgeries.  She can diagnose and prescribe appropriately for many conditions. She is  available for consultation by appointment or telephone triage appointments.

Nurse Prescribers

Nurses Karen Taylor, Jane Barber and Katrina Gale are available to see patients for chronic disease management and are also able to prescribe.

Practice Nurses and Healthcare Assistants

Available for consultation by appointment each day. They can help you with minor injuries, dressings, immunisations, injections, removal of sutures, ear syringing, blood pressure checks, urine testing and travel vaccinations. In addition they provide health checks for Asthma and other respiratory diseases, Diabetes, Hypertension (blood pressure), Heart Disease, Stroke and Cervical Smear Screening.

Phlebotomy Services

The Community Phlebotomy Service based at Park House has now changed their drop in clinics to a booked appointment system starting from 2nd January 2014. You can make an appointment by contacting Park House on 01159 617616. Appointments will be availiable on weekdays from 8:00am to 11:45am.

Flu Vaccinations

The surgery runs flu vaccination clinics from September until March.  Please contact the surgery to make an appointment. It is not just the elderly who should have the flu jab.  There are quite a few people who are more “at risk” when they catch flu; click here for more details.
